Equalis has released its Instrument Control and Fixed Point modules through the Equalis Pro and Pro Plus solutions, respectively.

Equalis Instrument Control module provides direct connection between Scilab and various instruments including oscilloscopes, waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters and others. The module enables Scilab to control instruments with the serial port, USB, TCP/IP, or the GPIB bus. The module builds on the GPIB toolbox, originally developed by Tibault Reveyrand, by adding features, stability, and compatibility. It is available through the Equalis Pro solution subscription.

Equalis Fixed Point module provides fixed-point data types in Scilab. Users can design fixed-point algorithms using Scilab syntax and then execute them in real-time. This data type allows users to leverage all the memory available on their PC, enabling them to choose very high levels of precision and minimize design iterations. It is available through the Equalis Pro Plus solution subscription.
