FARO Technologies has partnered with Stratasys and ModernTech to host a manufacturing technology seminar on June 23. Located at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the 3 1/2 hour event will discuss advanced manufacturing applications in 3D printing.

During the first part of the the workshop, Chris Cook, account manager at FARO will cover "3D Scanning to 3D Printing Workflow." He has experience with both the FaroArm and LaserScan Arm. Customer case studies will also be included in the presentation.

The other presenter is Corey Haas, an application engineer at Stratasys. His presentation will be on additive manufacturing applications, which will cover 3D-printed production parts, jigs & fixtures, patterns for sand casting, tooling for injection molding, thermoforming and RTV molding.

Attendees will also receive a 3D-printed part from ModernTech and have the opportunity to participate in an industry Q&A.
