Fisher/Unitech has planned a series of 15 launch events across the Midwest to support the release of SolidWorks 2012. The launch events, which begin on October 3, include four hours of “What’s New” presentation material on each of the SolidWorks software products: SolidWorks 3D CAD, Simulation, Enterprise Product Data Management and 3DVIA Composer.

Several of the events feature a golf theme and include lunch, golf games, and a solid modeling contest in conjunction with update training material. Events are free to attend and are open to both current SolidWorks users and prospects just beginning to evaluate the software.

SolidWorks 2012 contains a variety of product updates in areas such as assembly and drawing capabilities, built-in simulation, design costing, routing, image and animation creation, and product data management. SolidWorks has unveiled a dedicated 2012 Launch website providing details on new features, product videos, datasheets, and for current SolidWorks users under a maintenance contract, and the ability to download the 2012 pre-release.
