Gems Sensors & Controls, a manufacturer of sensors to monitor liquid level, flow, and pressure, has partnered with TraceParts to offer 3D models for a large number of its products across multiple CAD platforms.

"Gems offers an extensive product line so we engaged with TraceParts starting with our popular single point level switch family.  Now we're well on our way to offering our customers our full product lines on all CAD platforms," said Kevin Castonguay, integrated marketing programs manager at Gems Sensors. "TraceParts is able to leverage the labor and time investment we've made in creating our SolidWorks product models.  This repurposing of our existing data was a huge advantage in making our products quickly available to users of other CAD systems."

"Gems wanted to get 3D models of their products in the hands of designers and engineers when they most need them, regardless of the CAD system they use," said Bob Noftle, TraceParts president. "Taking one product line at a time, soon all of their product models will be available to the TracePartsonline.net network of 7.5 million users."
