General Motors recognized Siemens PLM Software as one of its best global automotive suppliers during its 21st annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony. The event was held at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit.

"The honor of receiving the GM Supplier of the Year award with such consistency is a tribute to our team's dedication to customer success, and a direct result of our two companies' close working relationship," said Chuck Grindstaff, CEO and president, Siemens PLM Software. "We are proud of our partnership with General Motors and look forward to the future as our software technology continues to help GM design, build, and sell the world's best vehicles."

This is the fifth time Siemens PLM Software has received the Supplier of the Year award, and the third time in the last four years.

Siemens PLM Software offerings in use at GM include NX software for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering analysis, Teamcenter software for digital lifecycle management, and the Tecnomatix portfolio for digital manufacturing automation and simulation.
