Hexagon Acquires Vero Software

Vero Software is a global CAM software company, with brands such as Alpacam, Cabinet Vision, Edgecam, Radan, VISI, SURFCAM and WorkNC. Each of these platforms aid the design and manufacturing process with solutions for programming and controlling machine tools. It has offices in the U.S., U.K, Germany, Italy, France, Japan and India.

This acuisition will allow Hexagon to expand its software offerings, and close the gap of making data fully actionable with newly developed MMS (metrology planning software) to include CAM.

The consolidation of Vero will conclude in August, a company press release states, and the turnover for 2013 was approximately 80 million Euro (108 million USD).
