Luxion has released KeyShot 5.1, bringing a variety of new features to the rendering and animation platform. Available in this release are new advanced procedural textures, Sorensen Leather materials and Federal Standard colors. Version 5.1 includes the ability to edit patterns, add scattering to instances and render all Cameras and Viewsets via the queue.

Users now have multi-touch support for touch-enabled devices, Retina display support and importing for PTC Creo 3.0 and CINEMA 4D. A new dockable menu for quick access to common tools and preferences has been added, as well as a Favorites tab.

Other added functionalities include:

  • Support for machines with over 64 cores
  • Improved texture mapping, move tool and selection outline
  • Single-layer PSD output
  • FED-STD-595 Camo Colors
  • Camera reset feature
  • Animation import, playback and render
  • Pin grouping in HDR Editor
Furthermore, version 5.1 includes the KeyShot Cloud, which enables users to download a variety of resources and share custom assets. Users can access materials, backplates, textures and environments in the cloud.
