Lattice Technology released XVL Studio Version 11.0a, an upgrade to its software for creating 3D manufacturing, service and maintenance data for use downstream.

XVL Studio is available in Basic, Standard and Pro editions and provides a range of functionality for digital mock-up, process planning and the creation of 3D and 2D technical documentation. Using the XVL format, XVL Studio enables users to work with large, complex assemblies to create the documentation and data needed downstream.

New features include 64-bit native support, multiple search conditions, graphic accelerator auto detect, improved part activation control, and more.

Users can switch between metric and inch results display, and display result values in the 3D display as well as the report panel. The solution also includes improved illustration quality with line extraction by part, and support for multiple CGM profiles, including S1000D and ATA. Parts involved in individual process steps can be exported as single XVL file. The solution also features improved mark-up and annotation of process step views, enabling easier sharing of mark-ups and comments.

Users can create exploded views with all parts involved in a process, and export views including trace lines, and callouts for process steps with all required parts.
