LMS Test.Lab Rev 12 for Noise/Vibration/Harshness

TPA is commonly used to solve vibro-acoustic issues. LMS claims to have developed technology innovations that speed up TPA processes.

"TPA plays a crucial role in the NVH optimization process through its ability to evaluate the contribution along each transfer path from the true source of noise and vibration to the receiver," said Bruno Massa, vice president, test operations at LMS. One of our main objectives with LMS Test.Lab Rev 12 was to eliminate possible pitfalls in several advanced TPA techniques in order to ensure reliable results."

Rev 12 also offers an enhancement of LMS OPAX, a TPA method for load identification that reduces the measurement time needed to build the full data model. The solution makes it possible to constrain intermediate results to ensure their validity so that only physically relevant results are retained in every step of the process. Purely mathematical solutions (for example a negative mass) are thus rejected.
