MoveInspect XR Portable Measuring System Announced

AICON's new MoveInspect XR portable measuring system allows users to accurately measure components up to several meters in size.

"With MoveInspect XR, AICON offers its customers the usual measurement comfort of MoveInspect Technology now also for the quality assurance of big objects," said AICON's managing director Carl-Thomas Schneider. "We can now handle large measuring volumes in only one set-up. Most measuring arms would have to be repositioned several times. And we only use two cameras."

Two digital cameras with 8 megapixels each are positioned on the camera bar, doubling the precision compared to previous MoveInspect systems.

MoveInspect XR is designed for probing applications with the handheld MI.Probe. Using dynamic referencing, it provides constant reliability even in production environments that include dust and vibration, the company says.
