MSC Software has issued a call for presentations for its upcoming 2013 MSC Software Users Conference. The event will take place May 7-8, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine, Calif.

The company is seeking abstracts for presentations for the conference, which is centered on the theme "A New Era Begins."

According to the company, attendees are interested in understanding how MSC Software users are applying "creative, thought-provoking and rigorous means to solve challenging problems with MSC Software technology."

The abstract submission deadline is January 31, 2013. Presentation length should be 25 minutes including a question/answer period. Conference topics may include CAE methods, composites, motion, non-linear, structures, and systems/dynamics.

The overall best presentation will be awarded an iPad. Presentations will be judged by solution experts and the audience.
