Munro & Associates Releases New Application

By Jess Lulka

November 11, 2014

Munro & Associates Inc., a consulting engineering firm, has developed the Design Profit 6 Sigma Defect Rate Converter Application. This allows engineers to quickly and accurately convert quantities.

With the application, users can convert between defect rate in parts per million/defects per million opportunities, process capability index, right first time/first time yield and Sigma level. If the user inputs a value for one quantity, the app will automatically calculate values for the other three.

This, according to the company, allows for users to easily calculate statistical process metrics for quality improvement, productivity, reliability and forecasting. It is ideal for engineers, manufacturing floor managers, students, professors and anyone who is Six Sigma certified.

The Design Profit 6 Sigma Defect Rate Converter application is currently available for Android users on the Google Play store.
