The NAFEMS World Congress, sponsored by SIMULIA, is dedicated to showcasing the state-of-the-art and state-of -practice in the simulation world in an impartial forum. It includes more than 150 presentations in more than 40 sessions,

“The response for this year’s congress has been phenomenal, making it our largest ever,” says David Quinn, head of Marketing and Communications at NAFEMS. “We are extremely confident that it will not only be our biggest event to date, but also our best. ”

NAFEMS has also announced the addition of Dr. Ahmed Noor of Old Dominion University to the list of keynote speakers. Noor’s presentation will focus on the use of “virtual worlds” for CAE product development and training.

Noor’s current professional focus is intelligent design and synthesis environments, advanced learning technologies, aerospace structures, structural and computational mechanics, multiscale modeling, simulation and visualization, and new computing systems.

This year’s congress will also provide delegates with:

  • Keynotesfrom the other leading minds in the analysis community
  • Approximately170 presentations in six technical tracks
  • Achoice of free training courses to attend
  • Focussessions on composites, stochastics, SDM, HPC and more

One of the highlights of the congress will be the short training courses which are INCLUDED in the registration fee. There will be courses run in non-linear analysis, composite FE analysis, dynamic FE analysis, and fatigue & fracture mechanics in FE analysis.
