Panasonic Workgroup Scanners Debut

New models provide improved productivity, enhanced auto-preview.

Panasonic announced two model upgrades to its high-output KV-Series workgroup scanners. The new KV-S1046C-H and KV-S1065C-H models incorporate enhanced auto-preview, hardware image processing, notification functions and auto rescan features that simplify scanning processes while maintaining optimum scanning speeds to improve productivity.

"With single-click functionality, a simple overview option and zero speed reduction image processing that improves the efficiency of scanner workflows, customers  save time and greatly boost the productivity of their businesses," said Joe Odore, product manager for Imaging Solutions, Panasonic. "By adding these advanced capabilities with the S1046C-H and S1065C-H to our already feature-rich workgroup scanners, demonstrates Panasonic's continued commitment to providing innovative, cost-effective solutions for customers."

With single-click functionality in the auto-preview feature, users can reduce the amount of time spent adjusting complex configurations from 60 seconds to 11 seconds. The function lists nine sample images, allowing users to instantly select the most optimal image.

Four smart notification alerts for binary/color, binary image, blank page and unique page provide advanced notification to users when documents have not scanned properly or the quality of a scanned image is less than optimal. Notifications are provided on a single overview page, eliminating the need for users to examine results one-by-one.

Comparable to auto-preview, auto-rescan allows users to quickly preview nine optional images and select the optimal choice for rescanning with the click of a button.

The upgraded KV-S1046C-H and KV-S1065C-H models feature a compact body, scanning speeds of 60 ppm or 45 ppm and are capable of scanning a variety of documents, including long, mixed paper and hard card batch scanning. The new models also include Panasonic's Active Double-Feed Prevention, LED scanning illumination, Advanced Image Processing, and Image Capture Plus technologies.
