PTC Introduces ThingWorx-Axeda Integrator

It offers a complete Internet of Things solution that delivers a unified experience, the company states.

PTC has launched the ThingWorx-Axeda Integrator, a platform that combines both ThingWorx and Axeda solutions. This platform, the company states, unifies the strengths of the software to deliver the most complete Internet of Things (IoT) solution stack in the industry.

The Integrator combines ThingWorx’ AEP platform with Axeda connectivity, device cloud and programs. This integration enables Axeda machine data to be immediately available in the ThingWorx platform. Additionally, Axeda APIs (application programming interfaces) can be edited in ThingWorx Composer.

Specific functions include:

  • Axeda data: Through the Machine Streams data feed service, Data Items, Alarms and Mobile Locations are accessible on the ThingWorx platform.
  • Automatic synchronization and authentication of data.
  • Editing of Axeda API scripting for solutions.
  • Automatic authentications for ThingWorx Widgets embedded in Axeda Console.
“Every industry is in the midst of a major transformation enabled by connectivity and new IoT applications for smart connected products and sensors. With the potential for meaningful innovation in just about every market, businesses of all sizes are engaging with IoT technology at an extremely rapid pace,” said Russ Fadel, president and general manager, ThingWorx. “ThingWorx-Axeda Integrator creates a powerful combination which has the ability to further accelerate the IoT industry.”
