Ricardo, Red Cedar Team for Simulation

Red Cedar solution embedded in new driveline system modeling tool.

By DE Editors

April 17, 2013

Ricardo Software and Red Cedar Technology (RCT) announced a partnership whereby Ricardo will embed the design system exploration technology from RCT into its new vehicle driveline system modeling and simulation tool, called IGNITE.

Ricardo Software plans to make the new design optimization capability available in every copy of IGNITE, beginning with the first commercial release later this year. This capability will allow engineers to quickly identify design variables and constraints, select quantities to minimize or maximize, and easily find optimal designs and design sensitivities, the company says.
