Chief Architect Software has released Room Planner, an iPad app for home design and room planning.

"What makes Room Planner appealing is the quick visual feedback you get when creating or redesigning a living space. We designed the app to be a very simplified version of our desktop software," said Scott Harris, Chief Architect's vice president of sales and marketing.

With Room Planner, users can create realistic floor plans and 3D models by quickly placing and arranging rooms, furniture, cabinets, doors and windows. There's also a library of architectural objects and accessories.

Customers can use the Material Painter to experiment with colors, materials and textures.  Professional designers can use Room Planner to assist in gathering client feedback during meetings.

The app can be downloaded on iTunes.
