SAP Releases SAP HANA Cloud Platform

SAP, a provider of enterprise application software, has launched the SAP HANA Cloud Platform for the Internet of Things (IoT). This release, the company states, expands its portfolio of IoT solutions to help customers connect their businesses to the network, gain operational efficiencies and drive new revenue models. The company is also continuing its collaborations with Siemens and Intel to aid customer adoption of IoT solutions.

The SAP HANA Cloud Platform has features for predictive analytics, telematics, geo-location and more. SAP also plans to include IoT services to enable the device cloud for delivery of IoT business value, device management, IoT messaging and data modeling.

Through its partnership with Siemens, SAP will help build the Siemens Cloud for Industry. This open cloud will be able to analyze large datasets in the industry. Siemens also plans to develop an open IT ecosystem for OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and applications developers on the SAP HANA Cloud.
