With the new Kisters 3DViewStation, Kisters reports that it offers an enterprise solution for the visualization, analysis, and use of 3D CAD data, 2D drawings, and Office formats, across all departments and locations.

From product design and work preparation to manufacturing, assembly, and after-sales, 3DViewStation enables use of 3D information and 2D documents and drawings.

3DViewStation supports more than 60 native and neutral 3D CAD formats such as CATIA, NX, Creo, SolidWorks, JT, and STEP, making complex CAD data usable for all users. Often, h2D drawings and Office documents must also be supported, which 3DViewStation covers.

Companies use Kisters 3DViewStation for production planning and work preparation; design reviews and change management using markups and annotations; technical sales and purchasing; marketing as a graphics engine for 3D product configurators; assembly and quality assurance; and after sales and service.

“Kisters 3DViewStation is not just a viewer—it is a central tool for 3D CAD-supported processes in manufacturing companies. It helps to implement digital twins consistently across all areas of application,” explains Craig Impastato, sales manager at Kisters.

As an enterprise solution, it features web or desktop solutions, available worldwide; application programming interfaces for deep integration into PLM, ERP, MES systems, product configurators, preventive maintenance, QA, and long-term archiving solutions; use by all user groups because of intuitive, Office-like user interface; support for 3D manufacturing information (PMIs) as a replacement for 2D drawings; implementation of digital twins; batch processes and automation; and virtual reality for immersive reviews
