Simpleware 5.1 Released

Includes new +NURBS module.

The latest release of Simpleware's image visualization, analysis and model generation software suite (Version 5.1) introduces the new +NURBS module, as well as new features that will help accelerate the process of segmenting and meshing 3D image data, the company says.

The new +NURBS module lets users generate NURBS surfaces from segmented image data. More advanced uses of the +NURBS Module include a choice of surface fitting algorithms which allow users to obtain alternate patch layouts for different types of geometry.

New volume rendering tools provide a memory efficient way to instantly visualize image data on import without the need for segmentation. In addition, volume rendering allows users to overlay surface renderings

A new addition for the +FE module is the ability to set target values of specific popular mesh metrics in order to provide improved mesh qualities for specific analyses.

Users can choose from an array of statistical settings to generate user-specific statistics displays. The new release also includes volume rendering for masks, large images support (greater than 2GB), and additional COMSOL export functionality.
