3D computer graphics software supplier Lightworks has partnered with Design Simulation Technologies, a developer of educational software for the design and analysis of complex mechanical assemblies.

Design Simulation Technologies has licensed the Lightworks Author product and integrated it within the recent release of its SimWise 4D product enabling users to create photorealistic renderings of the design simulations. SimWise 4D is an analysis tool for design and engineering professionals which combines rigid body dynamics simulation and FEA analysis into a single, integrated environment.

"We are pleased to welcome DST as a Lightworks Author customer and believe that incorporating our rendering technology within SimWise 4D will add that degree of realism to their engineering simulations," said Dave Forrester, Managing Director at Lightworks. "DST provide a unique product and were delighted to play a part in this."
