StorMagic, a provider of virtual storage for virtual server environments, announced it has become a certified technology partner in Dell's Technology Partner Program. By certifying SvSAN on Dell PowerEdge servers, StorMagic enables more customers to realize significant data storage management features across their distributed sites with substantially less capital and operating expenses, the company says.

StorMagic's SvSAN is a virtual storage appliance that provides shared storage to distributed IT environments. As a certified Dell technology partner, StorMagic can now deliver a combined solution that can be adopted by enterprise organizations managing a distributed IT infrastructure where there is high risk of revenue loss or liability, the company says.

"By combining StorMagic's SvSAN with the innovative features in Dell PowerEdge servers, customers can ensure uptime of business critical applications across their remote sites," said Hans O'Sullivan, CEO of StorMagic. "Thousands of users already trust StorMagic to enable their lean branch offices ensuring high availability, flexibility and performance with less cost, and we look forward to working with Dell's customers who have come to expect high performing and efficient solutions."
