Stratasys has partnered with The UPS Store to expand its 3D printing services. The company plans to have its uPrint SE Plus printer used at nearly 100 UPS locations across the U.S.

The UPS Store was the first nationwide retailer to offer 3D printing services. After a pilot program of six locations last year, UPS decided to evolve its services to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners, a press release states.

To have an item printed, customers can bring a CAD file to participating locations. The Stratsys uPrint SE Plus uses FDM (fused deposition modeling) to create models and functional prototypes.

“More small business owners and entrepreneurs are looking to 3D printing to help bring their innovations to market,” said Gilad Gans, president of Stratasys North America. “The UPS Store is at the forefront of a growing number of retailers that see additive manufacturing as a significant value-add for their customers.”
