As the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, America Makes’ mission is to drive collaboration in our industry to meet the needs of the U.S. government and manufacturing base. This mission couldn’t be more clear and apparent than it is today with the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and pending supply chain shortages throughout the U.S., according to America Makes.
The instititute reports that it is actively working on creating a central repository of partners that are ready and willing to assist in this time of crisis. America Makes says it is collecting their capabilities and capacities so the needs on the front lines can be met effectively and with safe, quality products.
"We are proud of the incredible innovation that we have seen throughout the industry and will have more information shortly about how to ensure that innovation is meeting the direct needs of America’s health care workers," America Makes' leadership said in a statement.
