Vena Medical Acquires Former Polymer Solutions

By DE Editors

March 2, 2015

Vena Medical Inc., a subsidiary of Laserage Technology, has acquired Former Polymer Solutions (FPS) Inc. This transaction, according to the company, expands Venta's business by helping it provide customers with custom components and formed polymer sub-assemblies.

Venta Medical offers turnkey medical device manufacturing services for OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and start-ups. This includes planning, procurement, production and distribution.

"Last October our parent company, Laserage, acquired the laser processing unit of Directed Light, Inc. (DLI) which is being co-located with Venta. Now with the integration of FPS’s capability, Venta can serve a wider base of customers seeking to outsource their projects to a one-stop-shop operation,” said Karl Im, president of Venta Medical. “The acquisition of FPS gives us the ability to manufacture a wider range of thermoplastic components with micro precision requirements.”
