Do you have what you think is a cool design for a Christmas gift? A 3D-printable sleigh for Santa? A mechanical reindeer? A tree ornament with inner electrical components? Whatever it is, it might win you up to $700, if you're willing to submit that to the design contest by ZW3D.

Dubbed "ZW3D Design Challenge – Holiday Edition," the contest is hosted on GrabCAD, a contest sponsor. The rules specify that your design software must be ZW3D's ZWCAD and you must submit the idea as .z3 and JPEGs. The design will also need to be uploaded to the GrabCAD library designated to the contest.

The top three prizes for first, second, and third places are $700, $500, and $200 respectively, accompanied by a 3DConnection mouse and a 3D print of the design. Additional prizes are also planned for "most creative," "most popular," and "most pragmatic" designs.

3D printing is offered by another contest sponsor, Ponoko.
