Luxion and 3D Systems (3DS) have entered a partnership to include the KeyShot rendering platform in a variety of 3DS software solutions.

This integration enables users to export a full-color model to the ProJet x60 line of printers and create photo-realistic 3D models of designs.

The rendering platform has over 700 different materials to choose from and apply to models. Users can also adjust lighting to create an accurate representation of their models in different environments. Features for camera adjustment make it possible to control perspective, field of view and focal length.

KeyShot is currently available for Geomagic users as a bundled option for Geomagic Design. KeyShot HD is also available for purchase.

“We are reimagining the engineer’s desktop with our complete line up of solutions for Scanbased Design, mechanical design and haptic-enabled freeform design,” said Calvin Hur, vice president and general manager of Geomagic Solutions at 3D Systems. “Engineers will love having KeyShot’s world-class rendering as part of their Geomagic software.”
