3Dconnexion has announced certified 3Dconnexion 3D mouse support in Autodesk Inventor 2013, including Autodesk Inventor Professional.

"3Dconnexion support in Autodesk Inventor 2013 significantly enhances the design process by providing a faster and easier way to position 3D content while simultaneously accessing important application functions and editing tools with the standard mouse," said Antonio Pascucci, vice president of products, 3Dconnexion.

3Dconnexion 3D mice enable users to more easily perform 3D CAD modeling tasks, which the company says can boost efficiency while "enhancing comfort by reducing dependency on a standard mouse or tablet." Users can simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate their 3D models or camera position while using the standard mouse or tablet to select, create and edit.
