3DSemantix announced that it will demonstrate its new integrated 3DPartFinder V3 geometry-based search engine for SolidWorks at the SolidWorks World 2013 Conference in Orlando, January 20-23.

3dpartfinder

3DPartFinder V3 is a shape search product that finds and displays parts similar to the initial inquiry.

The advanced geometry-based search capability accurately identifies similar parts and duplicates and enables part reuse, the company says. It also promotes knowledge re-use in core engineering while minimizing time and expenses associated with designing or purchasing duplicate parts.

Suitable matches are displayed in a SolidWorks assembly. Parts are ranked according to their similarity to a reference part. Users can conduct immediate analysis of the selected 3D models using any of the known SolidWorks functions to make their final choice.

"The outlook of the global economy remains uncertain. Knowing that, it has never been more important to bring innovation in your new products while achieving lower product cost. 3DPartFinder V3 allows you to work on both sides of the equation which makes it among the most profitable product of the CAD industry," said Alain Coulombe, CEO of 3DSemantix. "By integrating 3DPartFinder V3 to SolidWorks, all designers can use the shape search engine to create only the necessary parts and therefore allocate more time on innovation."
