Accelerated Designs Inc. (Huntsville, AL) announced that it now has an integrated interface to Digi-Key part data that will allow users to download electronic component information directly from Digi-Key (Thief River Falls, MN). This interface will allow quick updates to existing CAD libraries and provide an automated method for creating new CAD libraries using its Ultra Librarian tool set.

The Ultra Librarian is designed to automate the creation of both CAD footprints and symbols in a rules-based parametric environment that produces consistent and correct CAD data, which can be imported into multiple CAD tools, including Cadence Allegro, OrCAD Capture, and Concept; Mentor Graphic's Design Concept, DxDesigner, Expedition, Design Architect, Board Station RE and XE, and PADS; and Altium's P-CAD and Altium Designer tools.

The combination of Ultra Librarian with Digi-Key component information allows users to create CAD part representations for the most relevant components sold today.

Digi-Key, a distributor of electronic components, is a full-service provider of both prototype/design and production quantities of electronic components, offering more than a million products from nearly 400 quality name-brand manufacturers. Access to the company's broad product offering is available 24/7 at Digi-Key.
