adeptCloud announced adeptCloud 3.0, the latest version of its collaboration and file access solution. The solution now includes new administration features (including Links, Document DRM and Comprehensive Auditing) that allow businesses to more easily share, view, and audit their data and documents, the company says.

“Until now, businesses that dealt with sensitive data have not leveraged cloud-based technology to improve collaboration, mainly due to the huge security and privacy issues,” said Frank-Robert Kline, CEO and co-founder of adeptCloud. “With adeptCloud, all those issues are addressed by our patented encryption model derived from our days working in military and defense, where privacy and security of sensitive information is a way of life. A breach of any kind could mean life or death. With adept 3.0, our customers now have access to secure data they can more easily share, view, and audit throughout their enterprise.”

Links are configurable with expiration options to grant restricted leases to documents for a limited amount of time. Public links can be accessed by all recipients, whether they have adeptCloud or not.

To enable additional control over sensitive documents that are publicly linked, adeptCloud now features Document DRM, which enables Web-based document viewing on desktop or a mobile device. Document DRM can prevent unauthorized usage by preventing the recipient from downloading or printing the document. It also provides configurable watermark options to hamper image capture.

With new comprehensive auditing capabilities, all authorization-required actions from logging into the Web UI to creating a cloud are logged privately and made searchable by administrators via adeptCloud Onsite.
