Antenna Magus Version 5.0 Released

By DE Editors

July 2, 2014

Computer Simulation Technology (CST) has released Antenna Magus Version 5.0, an application that helps engineerings deliver antenna design projects effectively. The focus of this release, the company states, is to optimize the design process and a new specification library.

Design capabilities for all 250 antenna types in the software database have been enhanced with the "Smart Design" functionality. This allows for automatic suggestion of design objectives and instant converting of information between different representation.

The newest feature in version 5.0 is the library of  specifications.  The library is a compilation of predefined design specifications from various industries. By having access to the library, users can speed up the design process and achieve a more reliable design, the company states. Specifications can also be saved and used for later design projects.

Current capabilities that have been improved in Antenna Magus are the chart tracing tool, as well as design element saving. Users can now digitize data from measurement images or simulation plots and automatically extract representative properties such as beamwidth and sidelobe level. Elements of design can now be saved to a file or clipboard in various text and image formats. The software also integrates easily into the CST STUDIO SUITE, ensuring detailed analysis and easy integration phases.

As additional updates are available, they can be downloaded from the tool's interface at any time.
