Artec 3D, a 3D scanning company, debuts Artec Studio Lite, a more accessible version of its software for 3D data capture and processing.
Designed to make professional-grade 3D tools available to more users, Artec Studio Lite delivers AI-powered photogrammetry alongside 3D processing and analysis capabilities in a streamlined package.
Artec Studio Pro offers a set of professional 3D scanning, editing, reverse engineering, and quality inspection tools.
Artec Studio Lite inherits Pro’s toolset and brings Artec 3D’s software to a wider community. Allowing users to generate 3D models exclusively from photos and videos is expected to open up new possibilities for makers, small businesses, educators, and more.
Artec 3D continues to evolve its platform with AI Photogrammetry tools that pair 3D scanning with photo-based modeling.
“With AI Photogrammetry, we’ve rolled out a game-changing feature for creating exceptionally lifelike 3D models. Now, with Artec Studio Lite we’re taking this technology even further and making it accessible to a wider audience,” says Art Yukhin, president & CEO of Artec 3D.
Artec Studio Lite retains the core processing, editing, reverse engineering and inspection capabilities of its professional counterpart, while introducing a simplified, intuitive workflow designed for users working exclusively with photos and videos.
Harnessing AI-driven algorithms, Artec Studio Lite reconstructs fine details with fidelity and achieves geometric accuracy.
Even with very few photos, it delivers accurate models, including those of dark, shiny, translucent, or featureless surfaces.
Users can also edit meshes, prepare models for 3D printing, and export them in multiple standard formats for use in third-party applications.
The software is available for purchase on the Artec 3D website.
