Awards Bestowed for Outstanding Scanners and 3D PrintersGraphtec’s CSX300HD

Contex (Alleroed, Denmark) announced that BERTL (Fairfield, NJ) awarded the Contex SD4400 series scanners the 2008 BERTL’s Best Award for Best Value for Price in a wide format scanner. This award follows on the heels of the September 2008 4 ½ star Outstanding Award that BERTL awarded the SD4400 series wide format scanner.

Paradigm Imaging Group (Costa Mesa, CA) announced that Graphtec’s CSX300HD was awarded the BERTL’s Best 2008 Award for Best Value for Price for their wide format 36-in. scanner. BERTL analysts identify those products and devices in the entire digital imaging and document management arena that they consider to be standouts in the market.

Objet’s Connex500 allows several materials with different mechanical and physical properties to be printed simultaneously.

In another contest, Objet Geometries Ltd. (Rehovot, Israel) was presented with the 2009 European 3-D Printing Product Innovation of the Year Award hosted by the international business research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan (New York) for their Connex500. The Connex500 is said to be the first of its kind, in that it is a 3D printing system that allows several materials with different mechanical and physical properties to be printed simultaneously.
