Bright Computing announces at ISC 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany, that Bright Cluster Manager is now qualified as a software stack option for Intel Select Solutions for Simulation & Modeling. Bright Cluster Manager is a commercial cluster management software designed to automate the process of installing, provisioning, configuring, managing, and monitoring clusters for HPC, data analytics, machine learning and OpenStack environments.

Intel Select Solutions for Simulation & Modeling are designed for productivity, compatibility and workload-optimized performance across a broad range of traditional HPC applications, including many listed in Intel’s HPC Application Catalog, the company reports. They also serve as the common foundation for Intel’s full family of Select Solutions for HPC.

Bright Cluster Manager’s interface makes it easier for system vendors to develop and deploy fully supported Intel Select Solutions to HPC customers. The qualification of Bright Cluster Manager means customers can now enjoy the compatibility and performance of Intel Select Solutions for Simulation & Modeling while simultaneously gaining the flexibility and productivity of Bright’s powerful Cluster Manager.

”Using Bright Cluster Manager Software, system vendors will be able to quickly configure and deploy Intel Select Solutions for Simulation & Modeling, Simulation & Visualization and more. We are excited about this partnership and the benefits a full-featured and fully-supported software stack will bring our Channel Partner ecosystem,” says Lee Carter, vice president, WW Alliances at Bright Computing.

“Intel Select Solutions for Simulation & Modeling are designed to be compatible with a wide range of HPC applications while delivering optimized and validated performance,” said Bill Magro, chief technologist, HPC at Intel. “We are pleased that both system vendors and customers now have the option of utilizing Bright Cluster Manager to deploy Select Solutions for HPC.”
