Celeritive Technologies, Inc. (Cave Creek, AZ) filed a patent covering the key technical innovations in VoluMill 2.5, its new toolpath engine which it describes as “revolutionary.”

You can use VoluMill web-NC on your parts integrated into your CAM system free for 15 days. Patent pending VoluMill technology enables you to safely run your machine tools at top speeds and feeds, reduce cycle times and increase profits, handle pocket geometry and machine open shapes, and extend the life of your cutting tools and reduce stress on your machine tools — all without having to change your existing CAM system to use it.

Patent pending VoluMill technology features include a high-performance, smart toolpath engine; powerful, efficient toolpaths for open shapes; flexible slot milling options; side-milling; fast machining of small pockets; high-feed repositioning with floor clearance; up to 100 percent stepover with no uncut material; cleanup milling; and automatic feedrate adjustment.

The company says VoluMill precisely manages material removal rates to enable your machine tools and cutting tools to perform at peak efficiency, removing material dramatically faster than with traditional toolpath strategies.
