Cognition Releases Cockpit 5.2 with Integral Management of Requirements and Risk

Cognition Corporation (Bedford, MA) announced that the Cockpit strengthens its capability to manage the entire Product Development Process including the collection of customer voices, mapping to System and Subsystem Requirements via HOQ/QFD, enabling Active Requirement Management integral with Risk and Critical Parameter Management, support of internal and external transfer functions with variances, tying verification and validation data to the Requirements, and automatically generating scorecards and reports all in a traceable, secure, globally collaborative Web2.0 environment.

Cognition has also added version/configuration management for Cockpit documents and support for external file storage when using Cockpit attachment files. Cost reports and copying of text and images from Microsoft Word documents into Cockpit documents have been improved. Additional highlights include active templates for guiding the occasional user through complex design steps and support for the export of Cockpit URL links.
