ConcepSys is a web-based rapid conceptual design tool for process industry projects. After beta testing with engineering and owner companies, it is now available under introductory pricing.

ConcepSys

A new early front-end design tool, ConcepSys, allows for rapid development and evaluation of capital project options in the process industry. It integrates flowsheet development, preliminary equipment sizing, 3D layout, factored cost estimation, and design deliverables generation.

Both operating and engineering companies in the process industry can achieve up to a 50 percent reduction in their project
development costs via ConcepSys, according to the company.

ConcepSys features include:

  • Rapid development of multiple design options and what-if scenarios
  • Relevant documents updated instantaneously after any design changes
  • Automatic consistency checks of design parameters across multiple documents
  • User interface accessible over the web
  • Continuously updated cost estimates using an industry accepted price database

    ConcepSys is also available in an Enterprise version that can be customized for a particular firms engineering standards, datasheets and drawing templates, and workflow.
