The new CyRAQ Series E panel PCs from CyberResearch, Inc. (Branford, CT) now include screen sizes from 12-in. to 24-in. in three different motherboards, and three different CPUs. For compute-intensive jobs, the company offers an Intel 2.4GHz Core 2 Quad CPU; for the mid-range, it offers a 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, and for basic jobs a 1.2GHz Celeron CPU.

Most industrial panel PC systems are rugged, but they tend to use an older generation of slower processors. CyberResearch says it retained the ruggedness with stainless-steel front bezels and NEMA 4X sealing (when properly mounted), while using the latest, most powerful processors. All-steel chassis stand shocks up to 30g, and forced-air cooling allows operation up to 122 degrees F.

Monitor brightnesses range from 300 to 1850 nits, and analog-resistive touchscreens are optional on all monitors. Optional CyberResearch AR-Bonding treatment reduces troublesome screen reflections on any monitor by a factor of 40. Other features on various models include 160- or 320GB hard drives, dual drives or RAID, gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, one or two PCI expansion slots, 512MB or 1GB RAM. Some models can be equipped with wi-fi LAN cards and antennas.

In addition to CyRAQ Series E panel PCs, CyberResearch offers rugged industrial PCs and monitors, CPU cards, data acquisition, and motion control.
