Dell (Round Rock, TX) announced its Dell Precision M6400 Covet, said to be the anticipated model joining the Dell Precision M6400 mobile workstation launched last month. It is housed in a one-of-a-kind Vibrant Orange chassis and comes standard with edge-to-edge glass RGB LED display.

Offering mobile workstations performance with ISV-certification up to 16GB of on-board memory, the M6400 Covet is suited for artists in media and entertainment who have waited for such a mobile workstation.

The next-generation 17-in. mobile workstation also supports up to 16GB of RAM, has a 1GB graphics card, features Intel Core 2 Duo Quad-Core QX9300 Extreme Edition quad-core processor, and its four memory slots and RAID capability offer up to a terabyte of storage on two drives. This doubles the amount of memory and processor cores, and iss aid to triple the storage available on some other current mobile workstations.

The Dell Precision M6400 Covet features an anodized aluminum chassis. Both the M6400 and M6400 Covet are compatible with all accessories for the new Dell Latitude E-Family.
