Efficient Optimization of Sheet Metal Structures

Dassault/Fe-Design SIMULIA Tosca Structure 8.0 released.

By DE Editors

December 8, 2013

Dassault Systemes' Fe-Design unit has released SIMULIA Tosca Structure version 8.0, including the new sizing module, which the company says offers new topometry applications for the automotive industry.

Users in industries like wind energy and aerospace also profit from this tool for their engineering tasks, the company says.

With version 8.0, decisions on the basis of alternative design variants are made easier. SIMULIA Tosca Structure.morph allows for the fast change of geometry and the creation of numerous design variants. Geometry changes are directly applied to the existing finite element mesh, avoiding the step back to CAD.
