America Makes has issued the following statement regarding its annual Fall Technical Review & Exchange (TRX) event, in light of the ongoing federal government shutdown:
Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown and the uncertainty surrounding when normal operations will resume, along with procedural steps that may not be completed in time, America Makes has announced that the upcoming Fall Technical Review & Exchange (TRX), hosted by EPRI in Charlotte, NC, November 4–6, 2025, will now be conducted as a Distro D event.
As a result of this change, attendance will be limited to individuals and organizations possessing a valid DD2345 form. America Makes recognizes that this adjustment may affect some registrants and will issue refunds to those who no longer qualify to attend.
“While this was a difficult decision, ensuring compliance and maintaining the integrity of the technical content shared at TRX is our top priority,” said John Wilczynski, Executive Director, America Makes. “We remain committed to delivering a meaningful event that continues to advance collaboration and innovation in additive manufacturing.”
The Fall TRX will feature in-depth technical reviews from project teams within the America Makes portfolio, showcasing R&D efforts driving innovation across defense and manufacturing. Keynote speakers include experts from EPRI, GKN Aerospace, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories, to name a few. EPRI will also host exclusive tours of its world-class laboratory for attendees.
Registration remains open through October 24. On-site registration will not be permitted.
