ICEM Ltd. (Southampton, UK) introduced ICEM Shape Design Release 19, the company’s latest and most comprehensive version of its CATIA V5 CAA based surface modeling solution.

Some of the enhancements within this release are designed to make an engineer’s working life easier and even more productive. Based upon CATIA R19 Service Pack 1, ICEM Shape Design Release 19 introduces five new capabilities related to geometric modeling, modification, and analysis, as well as more than 100 customer-requested enhancements to its existing surface design capabilities.

In the ICEM Shape Design Centre modeling environment, new functionality has been added including Intersection, Refit, and ICEM DB Export.

In the ICEM Shape Design Centre modeling environment, further functionality has been added in existing commands, which improve command capability, ergonomics, and user workflow. A few include Curve Projection, Curve Blend, and Split Curve.

In the ICEM Shape Design Expert module, further functionality has been added in existing commands, which also improve command capability, ergonomics and user workflow. A few include Create Gap, Global Surface Blend, and Advanced Fillet.
