Adds increased functionality and 2014 compatibility.

IMAGINiT Technologies has released the new Vault Metadata Update Utility for IMAGINiT’s Utilities for Vault Server. In addition to the new Utility, IMAGINiT has also made productivity enhancing updates to the existing Utilities for Vault Server and Utilities for Vault Client, including compatibility with the 2014 version of Autodesk Vault.

“We hope to raise the bar with each new Utility that we deliver as well as with the enhanced functionality that we continue to add to our existing Utilities,” said Bob Heeg, executive vice president, IMAGINiT Technologies. “Our Utilities for Vault Server and Vault Client are specifically designed to alleviate some of the burden associated with data management tasks on IT managers and design professionals, allowing them to extend the power of their Autodesk Vault software investment.”

The new Vault Metadata Update enables users of Vault Server 2014 to export and import data from a spreadsheet (including descriptions or part number changes) eliminating the need to manually enter items into the data management system. Instead, users can simply run an export to an Excel spreadsheet, fill in the missing data and re-import the data from the spreadsheet.

The Create PDF tool has expanded abilities to generate PDFs from Inventor IDW and DWG, as well as AutoCAD files at the press of a button using the Job Processor. The Batch Checkout offers a method of checking out multiple files at once.
