Extensible CAD Technologies has announced the release of the new InspectionXpert First-Article 2010.  InspectionXpert First-Article helps companies create ballooned inspection drawings and quality inspection forms from CAD drawings in many different formats. 

The new release contains more than 100 new features and enhancements, including:  

  • Heads up user interface
  • Ability to control individual balloon appearance
  • Improved performance
  • Improved OCR accuracy
  • Concurrent licensing
  • Customizable Grid
  • Improved templates

The InspectionXpert product line generates quality inspection report forms and ballooned inspection drawings directly from CAD drawings in various formats such as DWG, PDF, TIF, and more. By helping to automate the First Article Inspection process, InspectionXpert generates an average time-savings of 40 to 60%, according to the company, and comes standard with AS9012 and PPAP inspection sheet formats as well as unlimited, customizable inspection sheet templates.
