Lattice Technology most lightweight 3D format, XVL v10, delivers two times more compression of 3D data than the previous XVL formats. It also has improved memory consumption and viewing speed.

Lattice Technology’s XVL format forms the basis for the easy sharing, reuse, simulation, and testing of 3D assemblies. As 3D design data assemblies have increased in size, so has the demand for smaller – yet usable – iterations of the design data.

XVL v10 (codenamed U-XVL) delivers more compression while retaining the accuracy of the design, reduces memory usage by another 25% to 40%, and can be viewed, manipulated, and checked faster than before.

XVL data, which allows 3D data to be displayed with inter-related BOM information, process instructions, assembly animations, and more, can be viewed using the free XVL Player.

Lattice Technology applications with XVL v10 will rollout this summer.
