MakerBot has released new PLA Filament colors, including True Black, True Blue, and True Purple.

The three new colors join MakerBot's  existing seven PLA color range.  MakerBot will introduce other new colors later this year .

"Ever since we introduced the MakerBot Replicator 2 Desktop 3D Printer last fall, we have gotten so many requests for new PLA colors," said Bre Pettis, CEO of MakerBot.  "We love PLA. It is a really great, consistent material.  It performs well with minimal peeling, curling or shrinking, and it's a renewable bio plastic made from corn so it actually smells good while you are printing.  We are really excited to be able to offer these new colors and can't wait to see the cool things people make with them."
