Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. has announced that its MTS3610 324-port 40Gb/s InfiniBand switch is available through HP as part of the HP Unified Cluster Portfolio that includes servers, networks, storage, and cluster management software as a total integrated solution.

Built with Mellanox’s fourth generation InfiniScale IV InfiniBand switch device, MTS3610 switches provide up to 25.9TB per second switching capability, and non-blocking 40Gb/s bandwidth per port. The MTS3610 is in a compact 19RU chassis.

When deployed to support servers equipped with Mellanox ConnectX 40Gb/s InfiniBand adapters, the MTS3610 enables a 400 percent reduction in the number of adapters and cables when compared against 10-Gigabit Ethernet systems while delivering four times the bandwidth, according to the company.

Mellanox’s 40Gb/s InfiniBand products, including the MTS3610 324-port 40Gb/s InfiniBand switch and ConnectX 40Gb/s InfiniBand adapters, can be ordered through HP immediately.
