Moldex3D eXplorer is a 3D integrated tool that helps designers perceive different part design and mold design options during the early stages of design. It intends to provide a user-friendly interface for CAD users to access Moldex3D’s 3D flow simulation results.

Moldex3D eXplorer provides free trial version for Pro/ENGINEER users.

“We’re very glad to have Moldex3D eXplorer as a partner product to support Pro/ENGINEER user community,” said Mike Campbell, PTC senior vice president of Product Management. “Most of our users are using Pro/ENGINEER for designing precision parts with complicated wall thickness variations. Moldex3D’s true 3D simulation capabilities will provide much more accurate simulation results.”

Moldex3D eXplorer provides designers the necessary insights on how to produce good-quality products. Designers now can check welding line, air trap, flow balance, and decide gate location, gate number, etc. during the design phase. Moldex3D eXplorer can also simulate 3D flow to provide the inner temperature and pressure of cavity. Molders then can visualize molding requirements to further optimize products.
