Blue Ridge Numerics, Inc.’s new CFdesign implementation program in North America is tailored to companies that need to drive engineering innovation in this tough economic climate, while facing strict capital expenditure controls.

The program ensures companies can tap into the value of upfront CFD and digital prototyping to solve flow and thermal design challenges. The implementation program includes two phases: solution development, which solves immediate design needs through customized project-based services; and technology transfer, which enables customers to use the knowledge gained in the solution development phase to permanently integrate CFdesign into their product development workflow.

During the first phase of implementation, the Blue Ridge Numerics engineering services team works closely with the customer to document their immediate project requirements, current CAD/CAE environment, and routine product development process. The engineering services team then uses CFdesign to achieve the customer's project-specific design objectives.

As additional funding and resources become available, customers can use the results produced in phase one to justify an in-house implementation of CFdesign. When customers are ready to enter phase two, the technical knowledge gained during the solution development phase is transferred to the company's engineering team.
